Morgan was a featured actress in AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a Member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives to combat the disease and testified to an Congressional Special Committee on AIDS Education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and on the Board of Governors of APLA. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has been asked to substitute for him in AIDS events and she has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have appeared on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan has won an Emmy Award in Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was written just for Morgan. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The production, Von Zerneck/Sertner, also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Morgan's next production sent her to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also played in the psychological thriller "The Leading Lady" produced exclusively by USA Network. This thriller garnered the best ratings of all time for the channel.
